Beef stew on the bone is a great staple in any household. It is really popular and incredible value both in terms of money and flavour. I love doing curries with it, but am equally attracted to a tomato based beef pap and stew. Proper filling and proper comfort food. The rule of thumb is low and slow on a gentle simmer or if you would prefer cracking out the pressure cooker that would work well too.
They are a perfect in a gentle sunday potjie - deep, rich and delicious.
