Our schnitzel is a deboned slice of leg steaks thinly cut. They don't come crumbed, for a number of reasons. At home we like to beat them as flat as possible and fry them in a pan. Seldom do we actually crumb them. I find a little dip in seasoned Maizena (cornstarch) does the trick with a shallow fry in butter and oil.
They cook in next to no time and are perfect for midweek dinners or a separate kiddies meal.
